Day 1. Tbilisi, arrival
Transfer from the airport, checking in and kick off meeting with the group in the evening. Receiving bikes, signing documents and we go for a welcome dinner.
Day 2. Tbilisi
City tour with local guide.
Day 3. Tbilisi – Kars, 340 km
A driving day with border crossing, great views, mountains and lakes. Our goal today to enter Turkey and start our Ottoman Empire Tour...))
Day 4. Kars – Erzurum, 220 km
In the morning we visit Boğatepe Cheese Museum, then we go to Erzurum. On the way we look at Penek mahalla, Ishkhani monastery, several waterfalls, Seyitefendi mahalla and a local ski resort. We check into the hotel, walk around the city.
Day 5. Erzurum – Sivas, 440 km
We go to Sivas, on the way we visit a couple of ancient cities, beautiful mosques. In the city we are waiting for a historical museum and a walk through the center.
Day 6. Sivas – Cappadocia, 300 km
After breakfast we head to Cappadocia, which is the pearl of the tour. It is surrounded by many unusual landscapes, we will visit some of the entering the region. Checking in and small walk around the city.
Day 7. Cappadocia, rest day
Rest day with optionally baloon flight in the morning, after excursion to Gereme national park and cave city.
Day 8. Cappadocia – Ankara, 250 km
With one of the main roads we quickly reach Ankara by lunch and have a short city tour excursion in the evening before dinner. Ankara is the capital of Turkey and like in all capitals of the world there are many places of interest here, for example President Palace.
Day 9. Ankara – Samsun, 410 km
We finally reach the Black Sea coast and from today enjoy sea views. Samsun is an ancient city with a long history, it was mentioned in The Iliad by Homer and since then many things happened here. We will tell you more when we come here.
Day 10. Samsun – Trabzon, 410 km
The road to Trabzon goes along the coast, so we will enjoy the views of the sea. Before checking into the hotel, we will stop by Sümela Monastery - one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in the world. Built at the beginning of the 5th century.
Day 11. Trabzon, rest day
Swimming in the sea, rest and walking around the old city center.
Day 12. Trabzon – Batumi, 200 km
Today we return to Georgia. But before leaving Turkey, we’ll stop at the Rize Museum and admire the waterfall. After crossing the border we will visit the Gonio fortress and admire the magnificent panorama from the observation deck. We will end the day with a walk along the coast of Batumi.
Day 13. Batumi – Tbilisi, 370 km
Today we are going again to Tbilisi. We will reach the capital with several stops, check in a hotel and go for a walk around the city and have a final dinner.
Day 14. Tbilisi, departure
