We invite you to come with us to China, on a ten-day tour of Tibet.
In China, you need to get a local driver's license to ride a motorcycle – we will do everything, on the first day of the tour you will receive local WU in Lhasa Prefecture.
The tour takes place on the Tibetan Plateau, almost all the time at an altitude of 4000 meters. If you do not feel well at altitude, please consult us about the possibility of participating in the tour.

Day 1. Lhasa, arrival
Upon arrival, pick you up and send you to the hotel. If all good, you can take an easy walk along Barkhor Street.
Day 2. Lhasa
Today, firstly go do paperwork to get the Chinese temporary driving licenses. If time allows, after that we will have a small city tour, visiting Potala Palace, famous for fabulous beauty of the architecture, long-standing history and great religious influence.
Day 3. Lhasa – Shigatse, 380 km
Depart early today, ride along well paved road to Shigatse. On the way, you will pass the beautiful Yamdrok Lake, one of the three largest lakes in Tibet. There are several view decks along the lakes, you can make stops to take in the lake from different angle.
Next is the Karola Glacier. After we go to see Palcho Monastery with architectures showing a fusion of Han, Tibetan and Nepali feature. After that, we directly ride to Shigatse to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest monastery in Shigatse. Stay overnight in Shigatse and have a good rest for ride to Everest Base Camp.
Day 4. Shigatse – Tashizong (Everest Base Camp), 300 km
After breakfast we ride along the national road towards Everest Base Camp. Approx. 185 km from Shigatse we have Gyatsola Pass? 5248 meters, where you can have a stop to take a photo, around 40 meters from here, is the main gate of the Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve. We continue riding and enter the famous 108-Turn Everest Road. Ride carefully for the sharp bends and enjoy the nice natural scenery along the way.
You will even have a chance to see five of the highest peaks in the world, all over 8,000 meters – Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Shishapangma and Cho Oyu. Upon arrival at Tashizong Town, we park motorcycles and take the Eco-bus of the scenic area to Rongbuk Monastery, the world's highest monastery with an altitude of 5100 meters. It is the best platform to view Mount Everest. You will find all the effort of the trip swept away by the sight of the majestic peak of Everest rising in front of you in good weather.
We spend the rest time around Everest Base Camo and then take the Eco-bus back to Tashizong Town, where is with lower altitude, for staying overnight.
Day 5. Tashizong – Sangsang, 475 km
Today we ride have the breathtaking plateau landscape along the road. Roads are well paved but be careful about taking over in the narrow parts, and also be attention to animals. You will have chance to overlook Mt. Everest, Mt. Shishapangma, Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Gang Benchhen. Have a stop at Pelku Lake for enjoy the view.
Day 6. Sangsang – Nyima, 505 km (some graver roads)\
Long riding day today, as there is no accommodations in the middle. After breakfast we will ride along the well-paved provincial road to Tsomai town. Follow is an around 180 km of long unpaved road. On the way, you will pass Tangra Yumco Lake. You can ride close to the lake and have a rest for a cup of coffee. After spending leisure time in such tranquil and beautiful places, continue to ride to Nyima for staying overnight.
Day 7. Nyima – Baingoin, 170 km
You can get up late today for a good rest after the previous long-day ride. When you are ready, we can start easy ride today continue with plateau lakes one after another. You may be not tired of these lakes, as each one has own features. Let the stunning natural scenery make you leave behind the worry.
Around 30 km after Nyima, there is the Tree of the Earth in Tibet, an intermittent river creates a tree-shaped landform on the earth. The shape can only be clearly shown from a drone-shot.
Lakes in sequence you will pass by are Dazecuo, Jargö Lake, Tso Ngön and Siling Lake, among which, Siling Lake is the biggest one. You can have a stop by lakes for a nice rest and enjoy views. Along the way, except for yaks and sheep, you can also have chance to see wild animals, such as Tibetan antelope, hare, etc. Stay overnight in Baingoin.
Day 8. Baingoin – Damxung, 285 km (some graver roads)
Today we head to Damxung with wonderful views along the northern shore of Namsto Lake, where you can get a look of the main peak of Mt Nianqingtanggula if weather is good. The first 65 km are well paved road, after Boqe unpaved and narrow road will sustain till around Zeta. On the way we can drive to the Holy Elephant Gate. The elephant's trunk reaches into the lake, which is considered sacred, and Three Lives Stones. Some say that making a wish on the Three Lives Stones will ensure that a couple will be married in their next three lives, which are a natural stone statue on the shore of the Lake.
Between Zeta and Namsto Village, there is another part of dirty road, around 25 km. Be careful potholes and muddy part (if rainy). The rest part from Namsto Village to Damxung is well paved national road. Stay overnight in Damxung.
Day 9. Damxung – Lhasa, 225 km
Today is the last riding day of the journey and will take the national road instead of the main road from Damxung to Lhasa. After breakfast, drive around 75km to visit Silin Temple built on a cliff. From the parking lot, you will hike upstairs, there's an elevation gain of about 120 meters.
Next, ride towards Xia Temple, also known as the Nunnery Temple, a sacred place for pilgrimage in Tibet and has a history of over 700 years. Be careful bends of the mountain road. After that, ride all the way to Lhasa. Checking in the hotel and dropping off bikes. End the nice ride in China
Day 10. Lhasa, departure
