Tour in moto in Russia – Italians ride Saint-Petersburg-Moscow

Below is a story of another tour we did for the Italian motorcycle travelers, that came to Russia with their own bikes to see Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. Most popular tour of all we have at the moment.

The trip started at the Estonia border in the beginning of August. It was not confirmed till last weeks and as a result our guides had no time to prolong Schengen visa (guides with the open visas were assigned to other tours and could not meet our clients) to meet group at the border. It took almost 6 hours for Italian guys to pass the border, long and exhaustive experience. Unfortunately, during July-August passing the border for a big group without knowledge of Russian language takes long – you must fill some papers at the border and you don’t know how to do it and make mistakes and remake, and remake again. Ahh, better plan your vacations in advance and let us know, so that we can meet you at the border.

After crossing the border, we headed to Saint-Petersburg, everybody wanted to drink glass of beer, eat some local food and relax. We went to Vodka Museum for a dinner and it was excellent. Next day we devoted to sightseeing tour. We walked along the Nevsky prospect, visit Palace Square, main cathedrals, part of the group went to Peterhof, other part went to Hermitage.

Next day we headed off to Moscow with a stop at Novgorod to see local Kremlin, and night at Valday Eco Club. During these days there were several accidents. First of all, one of the Italian riders at one moment decided to leave group and ride some time alone. He did it when we were refueling at petrol station and it looked like he is going to do some photos. But he just left and got lost. Luckily we quickly found him, but it was very nervous, especially for our Italian colleagues, because it was one of their guys.

One more riders occasionally got his bike into a hole and broke the wheel which started to lose pressure. Good that it was loosing pressure not to fast and we managed to reach Moscow.

In Moscow we had two days off and it was time to repair the bike and visit all main city sights. We started with Red Square and Kremlin, then went to Moscow Underground, visited Sparrow Hills, Sexton and many other places.

In two days we left Moscow to spend last night on a half way to Latvia border in a nice and lovely place Derbovezh. Here we had home-made farewell dinner. In the morning guys left to Riga.
