Games will be on the:

16th of June in Moscow with Iceland

21st of June in Nizhny Novgorod with Croatia

26th of June in Saint-Petersburg with Nigeria

Most reasonably way of doing such trip is arriving to Moscow few days before first game, somewhere around 14-15th of June. Check-in at the hotel, walk around the city, visit main places of interest, preferable with English speaking guide, enjoy your time in Russia. On the 16th visit football, on the 17th have one more day off and then start your motorcycle trip. 

 

We suggest instead of going directly to Nizhny Novgorod (400 km) make a small ride down via Tula and Ryazan with small secondary roads. Such ride will be more interesting and you will see local villages and ancient towns. Nizhny Novgorod is a city with more than 1 mln. people living on. One of twelve in Russia. Old city that stands on the banks of Volga and Oka rivers. It has its own Kremlin, interesting history and very nice local cuisine and Volga beer. Enjoy walking around the city and football game on the 21st of June.

After Novgorod more along the banks of the Volga river to Ples, Yaroslavl and then to Saint-Petersburg. There will be dozen of interesting places on your way and many options to experience Russia and its culture and traditions, starting with smoked Volga river fish and local hand-made honey beer (we call this medovukha) and finishing with Russian banya (sauna). It will take 3-4 days to reach Saint-Petersburg, just in time to see next game.

We will not describe here what to see in Saint-Petersburg – one of the most beautiful cities in the world, two years in a row best destination city to travelling, it deserves it. The only problem you will experience – a lot of people, in all other respects its beautiful. Very well developed local cuisine with all types of drinks and bar street, old history and numerous palaces, museums, churches and fortresses. Hermitage, Peterhof, palace Square, etc. Plan to spend at least two days in this city, better with a local guide. We have very nice motorcyclist that is working during the summer as a guide. We can share his contacts with you, but hurry up, he can already be fully booked for summer.

After last game in Saint-Petersburg you can have 2-day ride to Moscow via Novgorod the Great (year, we have two Novgorod cities in Russia, Nizhny and the Great), Valday national Park and Lake Seliger. After crowded cities and thousands of fans here you will enjoy rest in the eco style family hotel. Great refreshment with local food from private farm, home-made vodka (moonshine), swimming in the lakes and just walking in the forests. We promise you will enjoy this ride.
