Dear friends, we kindly invite you to visit 1st Russia HU Travelers Meeting that will take place from Friday 23th of June till Sunday 25th of June in Russia on the territory of the Valday National Park.
The First Russian HU Travelers Meeting will be devoted to several key issues:
1. Meeting with each other and making new connections with riders in Russia/interested in Russia
2. Getting new information about Russia and motorcycle traveling over Russia
3. Exploring a bit of Russia on your own, tasting banya, local cuisine, hospitality
Visiting this event is highly recommended for all who are interested to explore Russia in the future. You will get a lot of practical information from real travelers, learn about best places to visit, most picturesque roads to ride, Road of Bones, the Trans-Siberian route, BAM, Baikal, Altay and many more

Friday 23rd of June
12:00 – Arrive on site
13:00-15:00 – Lunch, rest
15:00-18:00 – Excursion to Valday Iversky Monastery and Valday city. Both places are not far from the Venue and its more an excursion with English speaking guide rather than a riding event. For those interested in riding there are nice unpaved roads around the Venue and several small cities in 100 km distance that you can visit
18:00-19:00 – Dinner
19:00-21:00 – Presentations and Q&A session (Alex Nikonov (Welcome kick-off, general info about Russia), Anastasia Nifontova (Dakar 2017), others)
21:00-00:00 – Traditional Russian sauna with swimming in the lake after, rest, beer, talks, relax
23:00-00:00 – Pavel Kobyak will present his movie about his 2016 Road of Bones adventure
Saturday 24th of June
08:00-10:00 – Breakfast
10:00-18:00 – Riding around the Venue. There are many places we can visit, for example Novgorod city, Lake Seliger where Volga River begins, several small cities like Demyansk or Tver. For the off road lovers there are many unpaved roads in the National Park where you can ride. We will decide later on preferred road as there are options to make two short trips or one long trip for the whole day.
13:00-14:00 – Lunch, either at venue or during the trip
18:00-19:00 – Dinner
20:00-22:00 – More presentations by Dmitry Khitrov (Russia – Mongolia), Maxim Privezentsev (Trans-Siberian route on Ural motorcycles, Around the World Tour on Harley-Davidson), Pavel Kobyak (BAM and Road of Bones in 2016), Alexander Nikonov (Tips for travelling over the central regions of Russia, from Karelia to Sochi)
22:00-23:00 – Movie - Trans-Siberian trip on Ural motorcycles
Sunday, 25th of June
08:00-10:00 – Breakfast
10:00-12:00 – Free time. More riding or presentations can be organized upon request
12:00-14:00 – Check out
The event is taking place at Valday Eco Club in Valday National Park, Korotsko, Russia. We have preliminary booked 20 rooms.
There is camping zone available 400 meters from the hotel where you can stop with a tent.
Food
For meals you have three options. First of all in the hotel there is a nice restaurant with local Russian cuisine. Some of the products (like eggs, milk, cheese, sun oil, chicken) are grown/produced right on the territory of the hotel in private farm
Second option is to use our field kitchen that will be operating during all three days. Our cook will prepare several classic dishes on open fire (grilled meat with potatoes in a classic Russian style, rice with meat known as Plov, traditional Russian soup that is also known as Borsch, fisherman's soup and grilled fish, etc. Meal card for 3 days of the event = 45 EUR. Last, but not least, you can cook yourself or go to one of numerous restaurants in Valday City
Price is 65 EUR if you register before 31st of March, 75 EUR if you register before 16th of June and 85 EUR after 16th of June and at the date of the event. Price includes camping, all presentations and workshops.
