Arriving to Moscow
Transfer to the hotel and kick off meeting. We will brief you with the details, an itinerary, and give some advice about rules and customs in Russia. You will receive bikes and can make some final preparations.
After that we go for a dinner in cozy Moscow restaurant with more Q&A before the tour.
Moscow - Kazan, 800 km
At 8 a.m. we will go to the Red Square to take pictures, after that we run from Moscow through Vladimir to Nizhny Novgorod. In Vladimir, we will make a stop to see the Dormition (Assumption) Cathedral, a great architectural wonder of the 12th century. In Nizhny Novgorod we will quickly stop at the Volga embankment near Novgorod Kremlin for lunch and short overview walking tour.
Then we go on through Kozmodemyansk and Cheboksary to Kazan. We will visit the Kazan Kremlin, Russia's second largest Kremlin after Moscow. Its origins date back to the 10th century. In the evening we will have a delicious dinner with local food.
Kazan – Ufa, 540 km
From Kazan we go to Ufa – the capital of Bashkortostan Republic. Today it’s a multinational city with lots of sights and places of interest. We’ll check in at the hotel in the city center and have a walking tour over the city.
Ufa – Lake Zuratkul – Lake Turgoyak, 350 km
After Ufa we have a chance to see the beauty of Ural Mountains. We run through mountains to the east, and we will see virgin forests and lakes with the clean water on the way. We take a look at the National Park an Lake Zuratkul, the only highland lake in Ural Mountains, 724 meters above the sea level. The scientists found the sites of the ancient people on the lake shore.
Then we go to another lake – Turgoyak, a pearl of the Chelyabinsk area. We will stand for the night in the hotel near the lake and spend the next day here.
Today we have rest after four days riding. There will be fishing, walking routes, Russian baths, tasteful fisherman’s lunch and dinner with local food. We are going to visit St. Vera Island, have some short off-road motorcycle trips around the lake.
Turgoyak – Yekaterinburg – Tyumen, 530 km
After a day full of rest we go north towards Yekaterinburg. We pass the town of Karabash with its Martian scenery, hills, and ditches, and the town of Kyshtym, a small town surrounded by rocky mountains and blue lakes.
We stop in Yekaterinburg, have a lunch and a walk around the city. We will see 1905 Square, Oktyabrskaya Square, Church on the Blood, Historical Square, Garden of Stones, and the Obelisk at the border between Europe and Asia.
After lunch we take off for Tyumen and arrive at the city in the evening. We check in, leave the bikes in the parking lot and explore Tyumen by foot. Have a walk on the embankment and the pedestrian bridge over the Tura River, and visit Znamenskiy Cathedral. We also bath in the hot springs in the city center and then have a dinner in a restaurant nearby.
Тyumen – Omsk, 630 km
A calm road to Omsk is waiting for us today. On our way we visit Ishim, the small city which preserved the ancient architecture of the 19th century. In Omsk we have a walking tour over the city and visit main places of interest.
Omsk – Novosibirsk, 650 km
We have a peaceful and beautiful road to Novosibirsk, the biggest city on the Trans-Siberian route. Today this is the 3rd largest city in Russia, a cultural and scientific capital of Siberia. We have a walk in the city center and rest after a long trip.
We continue exploring Novosibirsk, have a walk on the Mikhaylovskaya embankment of the Ob River, in the city park, and we will see the old part of the bridge which was the first railway bridge on the Trans-Siberian route. A metro-bridge, a longest in the world, is situated nearby. If you wish, we can also visit some interesting places not far from the city, e.g. Russian Railways Museum, Park near Obskoye, Novosibirsk Academgorodok (the very heart of the science in the region), and ride to the dam on the Novosibirskaya hydropower plant.
Novosibirsk – Gorno-Altaysk, 450 km
We arrive to Biysk, city that is often called the Gate of the Altai. Here starts the Ob River and famous Chuiskiy tract. We go further to Gorno-Altaysk and spend a night there.
Gorno-Altaysk – Chuiskiy tract
With the local moto-guide we travel along the Chuiskiy tract. We will not be able to go deep, as the road is one way only and leads to Mongolia. Nevertheless, we have an interesting day in the mountains.
Gorno-Altaysk – Kemerovo, 570 km
We come back on the Trans-Siberian route via Novokuznetsk. Today we stay for a night in Kemerovo. It is the industrial city, although it is tidy and quiet. In the city center, we will see a beautiful embankment of the Tom River and lots of monuments.
Kemerovo – Krasnoyarsk, 540 km
We are on the Trans-Siberian route again and head to Krasnoyarsk, yet another big Siberian city. The city is situated on the Yenisei River, one of the biggest rivers in the world. We check in and explore the city center by foot.
Krasnoyarsk – Mayna, 530 km
From Krasnoyarsk we ride along the Yenisei towards Abakan. We run through Ovsyanka and Divnogorsk and see the spectacular hills. In Divnogorsk we will see the Big Salbykskiy Kurgan and the Valley of Kings, the site of ancient Skyth. Our destination today is the comfortable hotel in Khakassia. We have a dinner made on fire, swim and go to the sauna.
Mayna, the Sayano–Shushenskaya Dam, 50 km
In the morning we go and see the Sayano–Shushenskaya Dam, one of the biggest dams in the world and the biggest one in Russia.
Next we will walk along the eco path in Shushenskiy Bor National Park. We see a waterfall in the hills, the Talovka River, and climb to the observation point. The view from there is just stunning. The Hill Borus has five peaks and was named after two first explorers, Borisov and Rusanov. In the evening we come back to the hotel, have a dinner and rest after a long hiking.
Mayna – Kansk, 670 km
In the morning we buy smoked Yenisei trout and go to Shushenskoye village. Along the way we cross Yenissei on the dam. Shushenskoye is famous because in the end of 19th century Vladimir Lenin was sent here and spent three years in the exile at the end of the 19th century. We visit an ethnographic museum in the village.
Then we go further using small roads in the midst of Siberian hills, and finally come to Kansk, a big city with the rich history. We spend a night in Kansk.
Kansk – Listvyanka, 900 km
Today we have the longest road. It will be a tough challenge, but it totally worth it. The great Baikal lake awaits us!
Listvyanka, rest on the Baikal
After breakfast we have a walk on the embankment and visit the main market, where you can buy souvenirs and taste the legendary Baikal fish called omul. Then we use the cableway to get to the Cherskogo Peak, where we have a chance to see the Baikal from the height of 728 m. After lunch in Listvyanka, we go to the nerpa show. Nerpa is a freshwater seal, very friendly and easy-to-train animal. At the end of the day we have a dinner in the hotel.

Today we have a jeep tour around, Russian baths on the lake shore, a dinner with a camp fire and authentic dances.
Listvyanka – Ulan-Ude, 540 km
The road to Ulan-Ude goes along the Baikal shore. A long time ago Ulan-Ude was a Mongolian city, now it’s Russian one. Lots of nationalities live here: Buryats, Barguzin Jews, Evenks, Mestizo. There are many Buddhist temples in the city. In the restaurants we have a chance to try the traditional local food and Baikal omul.
Ulan-Ude – Chita, 640 km
In the next five days we have a road to Vladivostok. The first city on our way is Chita, that’s where the Decembrists were sent after they tried to make an uprising in 1825. The city has a Museum of the Decembrists.
Chita – Yerofey Pavlovich, 780 km
The town is called after the famous Russian entrepreneur, traveler, and explorer Yerofey Pavlovich. In the 17th century he charted the Amur River and built a fortress somewhere nearby. Unfortunately it didn’t preserve.
Yerofey Pavlovich - Blagoveshchensk, 560 km
Blagoveshchensk is the 5th biggest city in the Far East. It was established in the middle of 19th century to guard the borders of the Russian Empire. The Amur River is a borderline between Russia and China. Locals often visit China to drink Chinese beer, buy souvenirs and have a nice lunch. The journey to China takes only half an hour.
Blagoveshchensk – Khabarovsk, 700 km
Khabarovsk is probably the most beautiful city in the Asian part of the Trans-Siberian route. The Amur River is wide here, hills are beautiful, plentiful of forests. The city has lots of Chinese markets and restaurants, and we have a chance to try it.
Khabarovsk – Vladivostok, 750 km
This is our destination point. The city is located at the southern extremity of the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula and surrounded by the sea from three sides.
Our moto tour is over. Tomorrow we put our motorcycles on the train and let them go back to Moscow. But today we have a dinner, a bath and a massage, as well as a sightseeing tour.
In the morning we turn in our bikes to the transport company and go for a walk. We will see a Sea port, an embankment, Bridge to the Russkiy Island, local pedestrian street and many other interesting places. Do you miss home already?
Flight to Moscow
Today we have a 9-hour flight to Moscow, transfer to the hotel and check-in. In the evening we will have a short walking tour over the city and dinner.
A sightseeing tour through Moscow: visiting the Red Square, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Kremlin, Moscow subway (sometimes called "the underground museum"), Arbat Street (often called "Old Arbat"), and other attractions.
At the end of the day you will enjoy a memorable farewell dinner from Rusmototravel.
Moscow, departure home
Today is the last day in Moscow. Depending on your departure time, in the morning we can visit some more interesting places in Moscow or just help you with buying souvenirs. After check-out from the hotel our transfer will bring you to the airport.
