Route: where we would go
Moscow – Tula – Ryazan – Nizhniy Novgorod – Ples – Yaroslavl – Sergiev Posad – Moscow
Day 1. Arriving to Moscow
We will meet you in the airport and arrange transfer to the hotel. After check-in and some rest we meet for a welcome dinner. You will drink a shot of Russian vodka and we try Olivie Salat. Plus we give you all info about the tour.
Day 2. Moscow city tour
Red Square, Kremlin, Moscow Metro, Arbat Street and many other interesting places are waiting for you today. It will be mostly walking day, plus we will use some public transport to see how local people live.
Day 3. Moscow city tour
One more day we spend in the capital of Russia.There are still plenty of interesting places to visit. There are beautiful museum, cathedrals, central Gorky Park, local market, the Sparrow Hills with probably best view of the city and Night Wolves motorcycle clubhouse. You must see it with your own eyes.
Day 4. Moscow – Tula, 200 km
We start in the morning, take secondary roads and by the lunch time we arrive to Tula and go to Yasnaya Polyana, where Leo Tolstoy, one of the most famous and talented Russian writers lived and worked. We check-in in the hotel, leave the bikes at the parking and go for a walk around the center of Tula, and we will also visit the Weaponry museum. Did you know that Tula is famous for the weapons?
Day 5. Tula – Kulikovo Pole – Ryazan, 300 km
In the morning we go the new museum Kulikovo Pole. This is the museum dedicated to the big battle of 1380 between Russians guided by Dmitry Ivanovich and mongols. This battle is now called Mamaevo Poboische or Poboische on Don. After the lunch we go to Ryazan and see Kremlin and historical places.
Day 6. Ryazan – Murom – Nizhniy Novgorod, 430 km
We’ll name just a couple of towns: Spas-Klepiki, Kasymov, Murom, Pavlovo, Arzamas. Ever heard of them? We visit them, and by the evening we arrive to Nizhniy Novgorod. Have a dinner, walk around the embankment. If you still have some energy, we can take a boat trip on Volga.
Day 7. Nizhniy Novgorod
One of the most beautiful cities of the Golden Ring located on the confluence of two rivers. Interesting city center, lots of gastro pubs and historical places. The Kremlin, Volga, museums and monasteries to explore. A peaceful and quite day in the city of Maxim Gorky.
Day 8. Nizhniy Novgorod – Yaroslavl, 450 km
We go along the Volga river to Ples. Have a boat tour on Volga, we try local smoked fish and visit Levitan’s museum. Then we go to Kostroma and Saint-Trinity Ipatjev men monastery there. Next we go to Yaroslavl, probably the most beautiful city of the Golden Ring. The city was renovated a couple years ago to celebrate its 1,000th birthday
Day 9. Yaroslavl
Another rest day on the banks of the Volga. Yaroslavl is one of the oldest cities in Russia, whose historical appearance has been preserved up to the present day. This ancient Russian city of the Golden Ring has nearly 800 architectural monuments protected by the state. The historic city center of the city is included in the list of the UNESCO world heritage sites. In the evening we will go to a Russian bath and have a typical Russian dinner.
Day 10. Yaroslavl – Myshkin – Uglich – Sergiev Posad – Moscow, 450 km
We take secondary roads and see lots of small towns on the go: Myshkin, Uglich, Kalyazin – all of them situated on the Volga river banks.
