Route: where we would go

Moscow – Pskov – Saint-Petersburg – Sortavala – Petrozavodsk – Valday – Moscow

Tour program:

Day 1

Arriving in Moscow

Today you arrive in Moscow. After some rest, there will be a kick off meeting regarding the tour. We will brief you on the details, an itinerary, and give some advice about rules and customs in Russia. After the kick off we will go for a walk and explore Moscow, as well as have a dinner in a nice restaurant near the Kremlin with the Russian cuisine.

Day 2

This day we have an excursion around the city. Starting with Kremlin and Red Square, we will see GUM (The main shopping mall) and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Later on we will explore the subway (Metro) and have a walk on Arbat, which is the most famous pedestrian street in Moscow, where you can buy authentic Russian souvenirs.

Day 3

One more day we spend in the capital of Russia. There are still plenty of interesting places to visit. There are beautiful museums, cathedrals, central Gorky Park, local market, the Sparrow Hills with probably best view of the city and Night Wolves motorcycle clubhouse. You must see it with your own eyes.

Day 4

Moscow – Derbovezh, 400 km

In the morning we will go to the Red Square to make photos with the bikes. After that, we leave Moscow and head to Derbovezh. With many secondary roads we will reach nice lake in the forest. The dinner will be made by a local chief, and in the evening you will hear some more stories about Russia, our culture and history.

Day 5

Derbovezh - Pechory, 440 km

Our plan for today is to visit Pskov and stay for night at Pechory. Pskov its one of the oldest Russian cities. The very old church remained untouched in the very center, in Kremlin. We have a short sightseeing tour around the city and then head to Pechory. Its a small town where we will stay in private house with old Russian interior and real home-made food. After big cities it will be pure relax and joy. We can visit banya, make Russian BBQ or ride along the old sights that are located around the city.

Day 6

Pechory – Saint-Petersburg, 400 km

Today we ride through several small towns and arrive in St. Petersburg in the second half of the day. After check-in at the hotel we have some rest and after go for a dinner in the Museum of Russian Vodka. After dinner there is free time

Day 7

Today we have a sightseeing tour around the city. First, we go to Peterhof, where you see dozens of fountains in the Lower Garden - funny and pompous, simple and complex – they have delighted guests for the past two and a half centuries. The "Russian Versailles" is certainly not inferior to its French prototype in terms of luxury, decoration, engineering genius, the radiance of gold and the riches of the Palace's halls.

From Peterhof we come back to the city center, have a lunch in a nice restaurant and have a walk around architectural ensemble of the Palace Square, Nevskiy Prospect and rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. By the evening we will be tired, so another local restaurant with Russian wine would be just the perfect place to relax and share emotions about the tour.

Day 8

Today we go to Hermitage, one of the best museum in the world. It was calculated that to see all exhibits of the Hermitage you need at least a week. We don't have so much time, but trust us, even half a day walk will impress you. In the second half of the day we see St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. In the evening its free time.

Day 9

Saint-Petersburg – Sortavala, 350 km

We ride to Karelia. We promise you a fascinating story here. In Sortavala we do a guided boat tour to Valaam island, which is well-known by its monastery, one of the oldest in Russia. It was built in XV century.

Day 10

Sortavala – Petrozavodsk, 250 km

We go to Karelia’s capital, the city of Petrozavodsk. On the way we visit Martsialnye vody, a resort built by Peter the Great in the eighteenth century. Here we drink water from three healing springs and take a look at the Saint Peter’s church (built in 1721). In the evening we have a dinner and a brief walking tour.

Day 11

Today we visit Kizhi, a unique museum under the sky, an island and wooden buildings without any single nail in them.

Day 12

Petrozavodsk – Valday, 640 km

It will be a long riding day, but we will do it. This night we will spend in the cozy hotel on the territory of the Valdai National Park. Here you will see the authentic household with meat and dairy products and have a chance to take Russian baths. Plus you will hear local band with traditional Russia songs.

Day 13

Valday – Moscow, 400 km

The is our last riding day. There are several ways how we can reach Moscow. Highway, secondary roads, unpaved roads. Together with a group we will decide which option is preferred for us and do that way. In Moscow we arrive around 4-6 pm and after some rest we go for dinner to the best beer restaurant in Moscow. After we can walk around the city center and see night city. In the evening it’s less crowded and very peaceful.

Day 14

This is your last day in Russia and there are still many places we can visit. There is the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Bolshoy Theater or Central Park. And definitely you must walk around the Arbat Street, main walking street with all the souvenir shops. In the evening we have a farewell dinner.

Day 15
